Mr LUN Xin

Mr Lun has been engaged in clinical practice, teaching and research for almost twenty five years and continuously committed to the clinical development of acupuncture and moxibusiton. Being an acupuncture expert, his recent research focuses on the acupuncture treatment for encephalopathic diseases, and the traditional reinforcing-reducing manipulations of acupuncture. He was instructed by Professor Jin, the chief professor of the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, and reonowned Chinese Medicine expert Professor YangWenhui. Mr Lun excels in treating cerebrovascular diseases, vascular dementia, children with mental retardation, cerebral palsy and other encephalopathic diseases like epilepsy, Parkinson disease by using "Jin three-pin" and "around lesion acupuncture technique". He is also experienced in treating frozen shoulder, back & leg pain, arthritis, asthma, allergic rhinitis, dysmenorrhea, impotence, etc., as well as using acupuncture for cosmetology and weight management.

Before coming to HK, Mr Lun was the professor of Acupuncture and Moxibustion College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and supervisor of postgraduate students. He had been the assistant director of Chinese Medicine Education Association Experts Board, director of Clinical Branch of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society of China, standing committee of Encephalopathy Professional Commission of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society of China, as well as the vice chairman of the Professional Commission of Ear Acupoint of Guangdong Province. He is currently the senior lecturer of the Clinical Division, SCM, HKBU.

For recent five years, Mr Lun administered one each of the ministerial, provincial and university research projects, participated in two national and provincial projects of Natural Science Foundation of China. He edited "The Eleventh Five-Year Plan" teaching materials for the new century state Chinese Medicine institutions, including "Meridian and Acupoints", "Acupuncture and Massage", etc. a total of five publications. He was also the chief editor of seven academic writings including "Practical acupuncture and massage therapy", "Magical effect of Single-acupoint to prevent and cure diseases", "Practical manipulations of acupuncture", "Prevention of acupuncture accidents". He has published 17 medical research papers, 11 teaching papers, and co-authored 10 papers.
