余坚文博士

余坚文博士是生化学专家,专门从事糖尿病的研究,现时之主要研究范畴包括糖尿病并发症丶糖尿病性血管病及遗传因子转移等。余博士一九八五年毕业於英国利物浦大学,一九八九年於同校获生化学博士学位,其後在英国莱斯特大学及曼彻斯特大学从事博士後学人研究。加入香港浸会大学前,余博士为英国贝尔法斯特英皇大学医学院临床生物化学讲师。现时,余博士於本院负责教授解剖学丶生理学及生化学等科目。

鉴於对中医药的兴趣日浓,余博士遂向有关方面深造,并於香港浸会大学获中医学学士学位。余博士现为注册中医师。中医药的训练,有助余博士扩阔其研究领域至中药及方剂对治疗糖尿病并发症的应用,以及中药的作用原理和机制。
