張戈教授於2000年至2003年在上海中醫藥大學與香港中文大學骨傷科臨床醫學博士聯合培養計畫下接受研究與臨床訓練,於2003年獲得骨傷科臨床醫學博士學位。自2004年至2006年,張戈教授開始在香港中文大學矯形外科及創傷學系從事博士後研究,並於2007年開始在該系受聘為研究助理教授。2012年,張戈教授正式加入香港浸會大學,參與組建香港浸會大學骨關節病轉化醫學研究所。張戈教授的研究興趣主要集中在骨質疏鬆、骨壞死、骨折修復、骨性關節炎、類風濕性關節炎等骨科疾病的基礎科學研究與臨床轉化應用研究,分別在Nature Medicine、Arthritis & Rheumatism、Journal of Bone & Mineral Research、Bone、Osteoporosis International等骨科核心期刊發表研究結果,具體資訊可以瀏覽張戈教授的實驗室主頁(http://www.gezhanglab.com/index.php)。
