AIMS

The robust growth of Chinese medicine in both therapy and research in Hong Kong gives rise to a great demand for Chinese medicine professionals. To keep in line with such development, the University sees the need to further enhance the quality of its programme and to attract more students with outstanding academic records and potentials so as to nurture new generations of Chinese medicine talents.

DETAILS

HK$10 million has been set aside to initiate the scheme. Scholarships will be awarded to Form 6 graduates who are admitted via JUPAS to the Bachelor of Chinese Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science Programme or the Bachelor of Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine Programme. The Scholarship will be offered and lasted for the duration of the course . There will be no limit for the number of students awarded each year.

Scholarship awarding criteria are based on the candidate's results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination in one sitting and are listed as below:-

  1. A minimum of five subjects awarded in level 5 or above are required, with
  2. One or more subjects attained 5**.

Awarded students should maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (cGPA) of 3.4 or above at the end of each academic year in order to receive the scholarship for the next academic year.

The School reserves the right to make the final decision as to the list of recipients.

Note: The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient ceases to study at Bachelor of Chinese Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science Programme or the Bachelor of Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine Programme at anytime in the course of his/her studies. The School reserves the right to ask for full refund of the scholarship awarded.
