Dr ZHANG Qingling

Dr. Zhang studied in Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for her Bachelor degree and obtained her PhD degree in Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1992, and began teaching at the School of Fundamental Medicine of the University. Since 2003, Dr. Zhang has been worked at the School of Chinese Medicine of HKBU. Having been engaged in teaching different courses of Chinese medicine, including fundamental courses and classical works, she is a very experienced expert in teaching Chinese Medicine.  By means of carrying out clinical practice for many years, Dr. Zhang is also experienced in treating miscellaneous diseases of internal Chinese medicine, such as various febrile diseases, asthma, chronic cough, digestive disorders, and diabetes, depression, rheumatic arthritis, etc. Her research focuses on the theoretical system of Chinese medicine and the principles of applying syndrome differentiation of Chinese medicine, in which areas her two theoretical research projects were accomplished. Meanwhile, she is the Panel Member for Registration of Proprietary Chinese Medicine under the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong, the alternate member of Chinese Medicines Committee under the Chinese Medicine Council under the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong, and the member of the Chinses Development Committee (CMDC) of Hong Kong SAR.
