Dr. Yu Yuanyuan wins Silver Medal at Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions

Dr. Yu Yuanyuan, Assistant Professor of Teaching and Research Division (CMTR), won a Silver Medal at the prestigious 2023 Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions for her innovative research project.  

Dr. Yu's project, titled "An aptamer drug targeting sclerostin loop3 for bone anabolic therapy without increasing cardiovascular risk," focuses on a novel treatment for osteoporosis that promotes bone formation without increasing the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. 

This accomplishment highlights the dedication and hard work of our researchers at the School of Chinese Medicine and their commitment to improving human wellbeing through cutting-edge research.  We are delighted to see our scholars' innovations recognised on the international stage and look forward to seeing what Dr. Yu and her team will achieve next.
