Eleven scholars from the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) have achieved the remarkable distinction of being listed among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in 2024, as announced by Stanford University. This acknowledgment reflects the School's research strengths and its significant role within the international academic community.
The ranking is based on the “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators,” compiled and announced annually by the notable research team led by Professor John P.A. Ioannidis from Stanford University. Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. The rankings are calculated based on standardised information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator.
SCM extends heartfelt congratulations to these scholars for their well-deserved recognition. Their contributions have not only made recognised advancement in their respective academic fields but also reinforced the University’s research capabilities and the School’s leading position in Chinese medicine research. We remain committed to fostering a vibrant research environment that drives innovation and creates a positive and lasting impact on human health.
