So Hei-wa Heymans, a Year 6 student at the School of Chinese Medicine, was bestowed the honour of serving as a torchbearer for the 15th National Games. As the only Chinese medicine student from Hong Kong, Heymans joined an esteemed group of fifty torchbearers drawn from government, commerce, and academia. His appointment is a testament to the energy and commitment of Hong Kong’s young people, as well as a beacon of hope and passion for the enduring heritage of Chinese medicine.

Carrying the torch, Heymans inspired perseverance in athletes and ignited the aspirations of young people. Reflecting on the experience, he shared, “I am honoured to participate in the 15th National Games as a torchbearer. I hope our enthusiasm can motivate every athlete to push beyond their limits!”

The School celebrates Heymans’ achievement and encourages all staff and students to draw inspiration from his dedication, striving to be proactive in national endeavours, serve our community, and foster a positive environment for Hong Kong’s future prosperity.
