Dr. Liu Jingjing, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, has been selected as one of seven Junior Research Fellowship at Hong Kong Baptist University by the Research Grants Council (RGC).
Under the guidance of Professor Lyu Haitao, Dr. Liu will embark on a two-year research project titled “Exploring the molecular mechanisms of citrate supports pancreatic cancer growth based functional metabolomics strategy” supported by the fellowship. She will employ a multimodal functional metabolomics approach to investigate the regulatory role and mechanisms of citrate metabolism in the progression of pancreatic cancer. The research aims to elucidate its therapeutic potential and identify highly druggable small-molecule natural products derived from Chinese medicinal plants and classical formulae, paving the way for new avenues for the treatment and management against pancreatic cancer.
The School takes great pride in Dr. Liu’s achievement and reaffirms its commitment to offering enhanced support and resources to young researchers, empowering them to excel in their academic pursuits and reach their full potential.
