In response to the fire incident at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, Dr. Kennedy Y.H. Wong, Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU, generously donated HK$1 million through the Philip K.H. Wong Foundation to support the launch of the “HKBU Wang Fuk Chinese Medicine Free Consultation Scheme”, providing care for the physical and mental well-being of the affected residents and rescue personnel. Following Dr. Wong’s lead, this initiative has garnered enthusiastic support from many caring individuals and organisations.

The first phase of the Scheme, offered by the five clinics directly operated by SCM, runs from 8 December 2025 to 6 February 2026. A range of free Chinese medicine services including consultations, herbal prescriptions, acupuncture, tui na and health talks, are provided to help affected residents and rescue personnel accelerate their recovery. Video consultation service is also available for those with limited mobility.
