Academic Seminar: Smart Sensing and AI for Healthcare

On 17 December 2025, Professor Chen Wei, Head of the School of Biomedical Engineering of The University of Sydney, together with her research team, delivered an inspiring seminar titled “Smart Sensing and AI for Healthcare” at the School of Chinese Medicine.

In this seminar, Professor Chen and her research team shared their recent research projects, including the newly developed clustering analysis software and a sleep disorder detection system. They elaborated on how these innovative tools leverage smart sensing technologies and artificial intelligence to address key challenges in continuous health monitoring, early disease detection and personalised health management.

The seminar, chaired by Professor Li Min, Dean of School of Chinese Medicine, provided a valuable platform for academic exchange with in-depth discussions among members of the two Schools on current research trends in the field of AI and healthcare. The dialogue not only enhanced professional knowledge but also furthered research collaborations.
