Students take part in exchange activities in mainland China

The School encourages students to acquire knowledge other than that acquired in the classroom to widen their horizons.  This summer, SCM provided ample opportunities for students of the BCM and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) in Chinese Medicine (BPharm) programmes to go on academic and cultural exchange tours to Hunan University Of Chinese Medicine, China Pharmaceutical University, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University and Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine.  Led by teachers, they participated in a rich array of activities, including talks by experts, tours of learning and research facilities, affiliated hospitals, botanical gardens and herb gardens, took part in practicum in hospitals, and provided volunteer services for the local community.  The students has deepened their knowledge of Chinese medicine and gained a better understanding of the culture of the mainland.
