Student Cheung Chun-hoi wins an Outstanding Service Award for Tertiary Students

Student Cheung Chun-hoi, Year 4 student of the Chinese Medicine and Biomedical Science programme has recently won an Outstanding Service Award for Tertiary Students presented by the Hong Kong Student Services Association in appreciation of his dedicated commitment in serving the community and outstanding performance in leadership. Over 150 local tertiary students competed for the awards this year and a total of 21 students were named winners.

Chun-hoi, a former president of the HKBU Chinese Medicine Society, has enthusiastically taken up various leadership positions in community service projects on and off campus. He often participates in service programmes and exchange trips to Mainland China and has won numerous awards for his outstanding leadership and service. Not only is he entitled one of the Eastern District Outstanding Youth in 2006, he is also a holder of the “Gold Medal of Service” presented by the Social Welfare Department.

As a Chinese medicine student, Chun-hoi hopes to continue to contribute to the society with his expertise in Chinese medicine, and to help people in need with a heart of gold.
