SCM community day attracts 2,000 visitors

2 May 2014

The School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) has been providing Chinese medicine services to the community for 15 years since 1999. To further promote its services to society, the School organised a community day at its eight Chinese medicine clinics yesterday (1 May), attracting some 2,000 members of the public.

An array of activities were organised on the day including free medical consultations and four specialised talks delivered by professional Chinese medicine practitioners on the topics of Chinese medicine treatment for plentitude and gastralgia, elderly diseases and irritable bowel syndrome as well as tai chi techniques. In addition, guided tours were arranged to enable the public to visit Lui Seng Chun and the Dr and Mrs Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine. Herbal tea was specially served at Lui Seng Chun to enhance the health of visitors.
