The School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) organised a summer exploration day camp on 19 July to provide local secondary school students with the opportunity to experience Chinese medicine and sample university life at HKBU.
Activities at the day camp included lectures on Chinese medicine and simulated experiments in acupuncture, tui na, identification of Chinese herbal medicines, the phytochemistry of Chinese materia medica and physiology. SCM students also shared their learning experience with the participants to give them better understanding of life as a student at HKBU.
Over 50 secondary four and five students participate in the summer exploration day camp organised by SCM.
Participants learn about meridians and acupoints through simulated experiments in acupuncture and tui na.
